If you use either the moto or verizon leather belt holster, can you feel or hear the vibration?

☚ī¸ I can only answer the leather belt holster part of the question. NO !!! The vibrate function is very weak. The ONLY thing I do not like about this phone.

My experience is the opposite of the above 2. I've only had one incoming while in vibrate, but I could feel it when using the leather case.

I normally have mine in the VZW leather case and on the belt clip.

I can't hear the vibration unless I'm in a dead-silent area.

I am able to feel it, but just barely. If I were sufficiently distracted, I could probably miss calls (although I have been lucky so far).

You are not suppose to "hear" the vibrate, only feel it. If you do miss a call, you will later get a missed call alert so it should not be a big problem. 😉

That's the way this phone is, can't be changed, and we will just have to live with it. 😕

This is also the only thing I don't like about this phone. I have noticed that if you clip the phone over the top of your pants, instead of just to your belt. You can feel the vibrate a little better.

I carry the phone on my belt with the holster clip when I'm using an alert mode. When I need to use vibrate. I just unclip it from my belt and clip it over my pants. This puts the inside of the clip closer to your skin making it easier to feel the vibrate.

It's not exactly a work-around, but it does make a difference.

You can also just set it to "vibrate and ring". The ring will go to soft and you can set the "ring" to be "TaDa' or ""ding" for "calls" or "voice mail" which will be heard very softly and not disturb anyone. Works well in conjunction with the vibrate.

Remember, you can also set the "type" of vibrate. Maybe one will be better than what you are using. The "pulse" works best for me along with a tone of "TaDa".

Play around with it, call yourself and see what works best! 😁

Thanks... I came to that same conclusion. Mine vibrate is set to "pulse", and I use the "Tada" in soft ring tone style. The "Tada" is a very non-intrusive alert. The only thing I have not tried is the combination alert... I'll give it a try.

I received the moto leather case as a present. I will be purchasing the phone on August 15. If I cannot feel "good vibrations", I will try the combination.
thanks

I used to have the V60...is the vibration on the 815 similar? If so it shouldn't be a problem for me.

Thanks1

i have the leather case and i clip it inside my pocket. basically, the phone is sitting inside my pocket with the clip showing outside. this phone has a great vibrate mode. my old LG VX4600's vibrate used to rattle tables. i used to hold it up to my face and make it look like an electric razor. i used to fool friends-seriously. this vibrate doesn't make a sound...but i actually feel it better! i used to miss a lot of calls with my VX4600 even though it had 300 horsepower of vibrate. i've only missed one with my E815 and that was because i was running at the time. luckily, i got a missed call vibrate notification-something the 4600 didn't do! i like this vibrate feature. clip it inside your pocket like i do, not on a belt. you'll ...
