Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood
E815 Northeast reception question
I'm currently using Verizon with a dual mode LG and the phone gets coverage pretty much everywhere.
I'm concerned switching to "all digital", Verizon says i will get reception in the extended digital area and if I do I'll be OK, I thought it best to poll a group of experts.
I hate to have to get 2 phones to insure coverage.
Any and all info appreciated.....thanks
Not sure about anything north of Augusta though.

There are several spots on 95 where you will get little or no service passed Bangor. But they shouldn't last longer than 20 miles or so...
Quick question, you reference your E815 as a dual mode phone. I was told its all digital single mode by my Verizon store.
My LG is both digital and analog and i wish the 815 was the same. Big concern is in the Verizon "extended digital area" I'm not sure how accurate they are.
When I said it was Dual Mode, I was referring to the two Digital Modes verses the Tri-Mode Phones (2 Digital, 1 Analog).
It seems that due to the EV-DO it isnt possible for them to make the E815 a tri-mide phone.
The "Extended Digital Area" was pretty good on the drive up through Maine, as I mentioned previously some parts on 95 the signal would be reduced to 1 bar or no signal, but it wasn't for too long of a time.
Look at it this way my friends I drove up with had cingular, sprint and T-mobile, and while they were searching, I could actually make and recieve phone calls.
Verizon is the best out there, the other services try to compete but they realize its impossible to be better than the best...
Good luck! 😁
