2nd Phone free question ????

We have 2 phones. With my NE2, if I go with the E815, the 2nd phone is eligible for for a free moto flip phone.
= My question is: Can we just take the 2nd free phone WITHOUT ACTIVATING IT?
= Also, IF we do activate the 2nd phone and don't like it, can we ask Verizon to re-activate the old phone FOR FREE??

im pretty sure that to get the second phone you have to sign up for a 2 year service contract. They will not just give you the phone.

Im not sure about the 2nd question. But i would think that if you dont like it and it is within the 15 day trial period, they will reactivate your old phone. That would seem logical but then again who knows. You should probably just give them a call and take the 5 min to mkae sure

Oh by the way my girlfriend just got the e815 and her dad talked to the manager at the store and ended up having the manager give them a e815 instead of the other flip phone. The manager said it is at his digression to do that. So it might be worth talking to them.

Wow, you were able to get another E815 rather than the V265 that they offer you free? That's really great.

- Anyways, both our cell numbers were renewed for 2 yrs.

- It's just that the V265 display model doesn't look real sturdy and my partner really doesn't care to switch from current candy bar phone. I figure, it's free and an upgrade from a candy bar phone, so 'what the heck'. My partner just wants to be sure he can switch back AT ANY TIME to old phone if he really doesn't like the free new phone.

Just log in to your account on the VZW site, you can switch ESNs as much as you want...

How exactly do you do that? I would like to switch between the 2 phones I have. Does it cost anything to do?

Using Myacct to make changes to your service is free. After 8/4 you will no longer be able to activate a non-E911 compliant phone though. This will be either through customer service or the website. This is by FCC mandate.

1. No

2. Yes

They give you the "free" phone not because they "like" you, but beacuse they make money off of the second account you have to open! 😁

😁 I'm on the Family Plan and did exactly what you are asking about. I got the E815 and they gave us another phone free, but my wife kept her Motorola T720 because she likes it and cannot have a camera phone with her at work. I plan on putting the other phone up for sale on E-Bay. 🙂

You can reactivate the old phone yourself. Log onto verizonwireless.com, go into your account, maintenance, and change ESN. You put in the serial no. of the old phone, and it is reactivated.
