Verizon Motorola E815 question about camera

I just got my E815 as an upgrade from an old Motorola T720 (YUCK!), and so far I LOVE it!

Without costing me an arm and a leg, I'd like to be able to get pictures I take on the phone to my PC... Whether it requires me sending the pictures to PixPlace, or if I can do it via a data cable is irrelevant. I have read that you cannot connect this phone via Bluetooth to a PC or another phone - that is not an issue, I am fine with using a data cable if need be.

I signed up for the unlimited IN messaging, and for the mobileweb as I will be using both of them.

I sent an email to Verizon to find out about some other items in the IN messaging, and they noted that PixPlace was NOT included in the unlimited IN messaging.

So here's my questions...

You can input a e-mail address into your contacts for anybody you might want to send pics to. After that go into your pics and select send in a pic mess. After that go to contacts and select the e-mail ady you want to send the pic to. And then send. VZW will charge .25 for every pic sent or recived. Thye also have pic pkgs you may buy. Good Luck

I think I'm going to swing by Circuit City tonight and pick up a transflash card and reader. Would be the cheapest solution in the long run. Think about it - this camera can hold around 450 pictures at 640x480 on built-in memory alone - 450 times .25cents is $112.50 extra on my phone bill.. Thanks but no thanks!

My idea on the other hand is $40 for a 256MB transflash card and $20 for the reader...

Make sure you get the Tans Flash that come with the adapter. I know SanDisk does and it's not much more than $40.00 😁
