Walmart ringtones, help
1) I go to walmart.com...
2) save the clip that I want to my comp.
3) rename the extension to .mid instead of .mp3 (you might not have to do this for some reason my phone only lets me use .mid as ringtones...so if you find that mp3 isnt working try changing the extension to .mid)
4) email the clip as an attachment to my#@vzwpix.com
5) open the text message on my phone and it should read 1/2 at the top. when the clip starts playing I go to save the clip, and the screen prompts me to select FILE, i click save and then I can apply it as a ringtone or just save it.

I don't send it to that my#@vzwpix.com. I just send it as a regular txt msg from vtext.com (it's cheaper, -I think- dont you get charged $.25 for emailing it, instead of $.10 for sending it a a regular txt msg?)
Could this be what Im doing wrong?
I think the attachment limit is 10. So 2.5 cents per ringtone.
I recently sent an email to my phone a friends using the @vzwpix.com address of each phone.
He has a 710 and I have an 815.
The message had 15 ringtones in it. He was able to see and save all 15 tones to his phone, however on the 815 I was only able to see 10 of the 15. It cut off the last 5. I am guessing that 10 is a limit on the 815.
I can't save the WalMart clips to my computer as an mp3 file, which puzzles me. Any thoughts?
I do have 2 full downloaded songs from WalMart coincidentally, I tried using those but they are too large.
Thanks!
I like to think I would know how to do it, but I would love to be humbled and figure out I'm wrong if it means I can get this figured out!
Thanks! 🙂
Ummm, when I try to change the extension it just isn't working. On my home PC (windows 2000, yes, shaddup) and on my work PC (XP) if I right click a clip, and choose 'Save Target As' I can most certainly save the file, but the save as type is 'Windows Media Audio/Video Playlist' and I've tried several things: renamed the clip at this point and later to add mp3 or mid, I've changed the type to All Files (which I didn't think would work, but I was tinkering) and each time I could save the file as I typed the extension but it didn't truly change the file. If I tried to play it after changing the extension it wouldn't play, there were codec errors, etc...
Hope that's enough for you to get wh...

Do a search of this forum and you will find this and lots of other info on saving and using MP3s. 😉
😁 Yay!
go to the link above (not sure if you are a beyonce fan)it should take you to a page that has beyonce cd cover if you scroll down, you will get a list of the songs in the cd and some of them have a little blue icon for you to listen to 30 second clips of that song...if this is NOT where you have been going..then right click on MP3AUDIO (it will be underlined and on the left of the blue headphone icon) and save it, that should save as an MP3, that you can send to your phone or you can change that .mp3 file to a .mid for your phone....Hope this helps!
1. Send yourself the file. I use http://www.funformobile.com/pages/ringtone/up loadRingtone.php
I don't rename the files. Some have .mp3 extensions, and some are just named whatever the song's name is with no extension, and some have long numeric names. I just use the commands on funformobile screen and it works.
2. Wait a few minutes. When you get the message, press Main Menu (middle top button)>Messaging>Inbox>Select>Read.
3. The song should start playing. It takes a few seconds to start. When it does, press center button Main Menu>Save Items>Select.
4. The screen asks Save What? Highl...
