I registered and have sent 3 or 4 messages to the site and have not received anything. Should I get them on my phone or on the vzwpix.com website. I sent them to my cell number@vzwpix.com. Help.

You will receive them on your phone. It usually takes 5-10 min. Could take longer depending on the network.

Enjoy it while it lasts verizon stops you from doing it.

They must have something set up that recognizes this and blocks vzw users after a certain amount of time or messages.

If you have a transflash card, you can transfer pics from computer onto phone without paying $.25 for each pix message. 😁

This may or may not work for you but I had a similar problem. I had registered with vzwpix.com and had tried sending myself pics and ringtones to mynumber@vzwpix.com (including area code) and would never receive anything.

After turning my phone off and then back on again everything works now. This also fixed a problem I was having with funformobile.com in that I was not receiving anything from them either.

I turned the phone off last night after waiting for an hour. This morning they were there but I can't find any way to save them as a ringtone. It saves to the phone but not as mp3. Any advice? Thanks

the files you sent ... were did they have MP3 file extensions??

You should be able to save them to the phone, but you won't see them as potential RINGTONES.

A good rule of thumb when emailing MP3 Ringtones to your phone:

** Rename the file from MP3 to MID before sending to phone.

** The E815 can handle an email with 10 attachments, so instead of sending one file at a time, slap 10 in a message. 2.5 cents a ringtone is alot cheaper than a quarter each.

Try that.

Send all 10 because they will stop you from doing this after a certain amount of messages.

I had about 8 ringtones to my phone and have been trying recently to no avail.

It says "unable to download message" now and I can no longer get the attachment.

Interesting....

First let me say as far as ringtones I only use funformobile.com method but I just checked my phone after that comment you made about not saving as an mp3 and my phone "thinks" that the mp3s that are currently stored are in fact MIDI if I go to the details section of the song. It's obviously an mp3 playing on my phone but I guess it wants to label it as MIDI.

So your saying that if you go to MENU-MEDIA GALLERY-SOUNDS you can see the mp3 you stored but it will not let you "apply as ringtone"?

this happened to me too. i got them to save by: playing the attachment MP3 file. while playing the music file, hit the menu button and it'll give an option to save. hit save, then it'll give an option to just store or apply as ringtone.

btw, i didn't know sending to mynumber@vzwpix.com was costing me 25 cents. so i am charged this fee when i receive emails in my phone?

Is it just me, or is it normal that when you receive anything from vzwpix or funformobile it comes in two parts? Always shows 1/2 and 2/2. 2/2 is always the pic or sound. Just curious because on my old LVX6000 it just came as ONE message. Am I getting charged for TWO messages each time I send myself something?

I think this is just because it (your phone) separates the message viewing into text vs. binary attachments. Regular e-mail messages work the same way when you send/recv them on your PC, there's the text section and then there are additional sections for each attachment.

It was only one transmission and should therefore only be one charge. I can't say I've verified this on my billing statement or anything, but I really can't imagine that it would be billed twice.
