Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood
Phone tools question
Forgive me if this has been covered but it is not obvious to me, what phone tools kit will work with the E815 and where do I purchase it. I bought the one for the V710 at Verizon and was curious to know if they will be coming out with a separate version for the E815. Also, I am interested in syncing outlook with my phone, is "phone tools" what I need? Thanks in advance.

You need Motorola Mobile PhoneTools 3.0 if you have a earlier version that can work too you just need to go to Motorola's website and download the latest update.

the current verison is 3.0 they might have a upgrade to it on Motorolas website but the current version number is 3.0

I have MPT 3.11, just Live Updated to version 3.25b, and it does NOT recognize my E815. Now what?

I don't know i would call technical support i heard people were doing just fine with just Mobile PhoneTools 3.0

I could not get it to work on my desktop, so I loaded it and updated it on my laptop. I went through the same steps and it did not work. I then downloaded the E815 drivers from a HoFo post that I can't get to right now (site down) to tell you where to get them.
After that, I installed it as a Motorola USB Modem, and it worked. I had done that on the desktop to no avail.
Oh well, at least one of the computers works.
