Get overprice difference at Circuit City.

I bought my e815 at Circuit City NYC Union Square on Sunday for $350 (had to pay full retail) with supposedly free VCast accessory pack (car charger, stereo headset, leather case). Later found out it was being sold for $270 in same store. Went back last night and got $30 back after speaking to 2 different sales reps at the store and calling VZW customer service twice.

They only gave me $30 back because they charged me $50 for the accessory pack.

VZW customer service was great about the situation. They have no access to store sales information, but called the store directly for me to solve the situation. Sales reps at the store Sucked.

The phone is great. They were trying to get me to return it and then get a new one. They had no e815s in stock. Wasn't planning to let go of mine.

I don't blame you, u already had the phone in your hands just wanted not to be overcharged! I can't wait to get the phone myself spent my last check at REI (hiker) so I have a small wait till I get mine. 😲

Enjoy your phone! 😎

I got mine for 150 without the accessory pack with a 1 year agreement. I already had all that stuff from my last moto. It rocks! 🙂

Used the $100 credit for "new every two" and purchased the phone for $150, with the $50 mail in rebate the phone is free. The promotion also came with a free Motorola V265, I sold my wife's Samsung and my old LG on ebay and made $80 which offset the two new accessory packs and an HS810 headset which I found on clearance at staples for $30. I think the whole transaction cost me $10 and we got 2 new phones with all of the bells and whistles. Needless to say as long as these phones hold up, I am pleased. The V265 is just being used for a basic "emergency phone" so it is plenty enough phone for us, the E815 gets an occasional echo but it seems like a decent phone. I like the larges keys and the display on the E815, I got my fingers crossed ...

saraB, your best bet would probably be $150 if you sign up with Verizon and you would be able to get a $50 rebate and the V265.

You can only get the V265 if you open a new line with Verizon or have a line that is up for a 2 year contract renewal there is a catch there on that promotion.

If you open a new line with Verizon you will have to sign a 2 year contract so you will get the phone for free with the $50.00 rebate. If you want the accessories thats a extra $50.00. Thats the headset, car charger, and leather case.

I had a similar situation i had my E815 price ring up full retail as $299.99 and than they tacked on a extra $90.00 for no reason. They sold me the accessories at the right cost $49.97 without tax. But the store or Verizon customer care refused to do something about the extra $90.00 tacked on they as well wanted me to return my phone i said i wouldn't do it i said the mistake can be fixed by just bringing in my receipt or the box the whole phone don't need to be returned but they still wont budge with me. Also Verizon wont be able to pull up the reciept/transaction on the phone until my billing cycle is up which will be past my 15 day worry free guarantee. So Verizon customer care cant credit me anything without seeing my receipt. So it...

Your lucky you got some money back i called Verizon a couple times concerning this issue on being over charged because the retail is only suppose to be $269.99 and i was charged $389.99 and never got any money back. I never heard of the accessory pack being free i had to pay $49.97 for that they wouldn't work with me on the free V265 phone deal though. I also noticed when i went in there on July 5th on their pricing card they had full retail at $389.99 and i know thats not right. But i have to make a choice to take the phone back before my 15 days is up and than go into discussion about the price with them and go back to a old phone on its last leg until it gets figured out or stay with this E815 i have now and hope i don't get shafted by...

Actually, I was told that i don't get a mail in rebate when I buy at full retail. I thought that didn't make any sense, but was store policy. Is that wrong?

That is wrong you get a mail in rebate for $50.00 no matter what go in get the rebate form and ask for duplicate receipts for the purchase of the phone a copy for your records and a copy to send in with the rebate. Even customer care says the $50.00 rebate is good for any manner someone purchases the phone whether its full retail or renewing a 2 year contract.

Called VZW concerning rebate, and they said I would have to deal with the store. Called a different store in NYC than the one I purchased it from, and they said that there are no rebates for full retail purchases. You need to sign a new contract. Tried calling a VZW store in NYC, and they said the same thing.

no go to a non circuit city verizon store and ask for a rebate form they will give it to you show them your receipt and ask for duplicates of your receipt to send in the rebate. Circuit City are just being jerks about it.
