Circuit City $99 E815
Purchased mine yesterday from CC for $99. They advertised $149-$50 rebate. In my area, if you're a new Verizon customer. They will apply the $50 rebate instantly and wave the $20 startup fee. All you need to do is ask. I signed up for the $39 - 450min plane.
Since I haven't had time to play with it much, I can only comment about the reception. With my old Nokia 6800 from Cingular, there were places in my house where I had very poor reception. Primarily, my electronics filled office/Server room.
The first thing I did when I got home was check for signal strength. Full bars throughout the house. I went into my office and called several friends in fringe areas that had always given me problems in the past. Great reception and strong signa...

Well I got mine yesterday and can't say anything negative. So far this thing is great. I am experiencing one of those "grass is greener on the other side" type of moments right now. I came from Sprint where the service went from good to dreadful super fast after the merging of Nextel. I couldn't even receive calls and it wouldn't tell me when I missed a call or got a voice mail. When I sent out a call, I either got "no service" or it took literally 7 rings before the other line got 1 ring (honest to God).
Now I call and instant connection. The messaging is really awesome because with sprint....I didn't have SMS so I had to go through LITERALLY 10 menus all on 56k speeds through the net to find my message.
