Yeap... I live in NYC and walked into a Verizon store yesterday and was about to pick up the 710 and was told to wait till June 27th for the 815. The salesperson was really upfront about the it and and made the suggestion.

Not you. You said in your earlier post something about, "Not June .. August ..." something like that, I am too lazy to check it. Well, now that the owner's of Verizon franchises received the letter from the corporate office that clearly states the different pricings, and availability dates. Not to mention, 'Equipment Page', which Verizon stupidly left open to any browser session ..., states, 'Check for this phone at you location July 5th.' So, you can't say you are right at this moment, nor do I doubt you will ever be able. So, until July 5th - July 10th, I do expect to see this phone around those dates, and NOT on your atrocious release date.

Last Week I recieved rebate forms at my store from verizon. They are good for the 815 through August 28th! An August release date is not likely!

No, that is Verizon speak meaning the cost of the phone with a 2yr contract is $149.99 up front, at the POS, meaning you pay $149.99 plus your local tax... then after you mail in the rebate, receive an envelope 8-10 weeks later, take the check to your bank, cash it, then the phone will be $99.99 (after rebate)....

WOW, thanks for the heads up on the bank part- 🙂 I knew I had been missing something in the 10+ years of having Verizon- well wait it was Bell Atlantic Mobile for me for years-
What I have seen more are companies advertising the price post rebate- and just clarifying that VZW was NOT doing that-
