I'm an employee at Qualcomm. When I saw that the E815 was coming out on 6/27, I e-mailed my corporate Verizon rep. for Qualcomm and told him I wanted to purchase it. He then wrote back it's scheduled to come out 6/27, but it might possibly be pushed back.
There are some reports of stores getting 3300, 5200, 8100 and e815 dummy phones today. Earlier this week, there were reports of shipments going to warehouses.
Seems to be yet another reason why June 27th is looking more and more like a solid release date, even for the 8100. Time will tell.
Which phone (assuming they both become available around 6/27) do you prefer--- the E815 or the VX8100?? Reasons why??????
Thanks
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks. 🙂
Have you found out what the approved handset listing as of 6/10 means?
I am holding out for this phone..
Thanks,

I have the new hands free Motorola speaker ordered ( I have the web site if you need it) but I have no idea what the "approved handset listing as of 6/10 means".

I think the "approved handset listing" might be the same as the FCC's approved handset list that comes out..in which case the E815 was approved back in January already.
1. Which menu/software setup you like better.
2. Which phone you like the appearance of better (cosmetics).
Both phones have the same capabilities exactly. Both have EVDO, Bluetooth, expandable memory, etc.
The LG Menu is more user friendly. The Motorola will be very similar to the V710 (nice, but not as user friendly as the LG's).
Thanks for your in-put. I do prefer LG and have had good luck with two previous LG phones. Only hesitation was because of the longer battery life in the E815. Someone wrote a thread on HOFO that the E815 had better styling.??????

The E815 will probably use the same battery as the RAZR, and that one lasts forever (at least the one I have). Styling simply means the appearance of the phone. I agree that the 815 looks better (has better styling) than the 8100, but it is all in what you like.
I can say that my battery on my VX8000 is horrible, so the 8100 and the 815 have got to be better than the 8000. But I tend to feel that LG's are more reliable and better built (just m...

Qualcomm has zero knowledge of the release schedule of Verizon.
