Generic questions...

I haven't been to this website in a couple months, so I've kind of fell behind a tad. Just by reading the recent posts on here, what do you guys mean by "Verizon crippled Bluetooth"? And what is EV-DO? I know it has something to do with V-Cast (which seems to be one of the coolest things out there right now).

And one last question...when will Verizon finish up with the test markets for V-Cast? I know they're gonna have to update their towers to go nation wide, but any ideas on when V-Cast will be available everywhere?

"Verizon crippled Bluetooth" You are unable to do any file transfer to or from your phone, probably to prevent sharing of GIN files.
"EV-DO" Evolution Data Only, enhanced data services. With air card connection speeds approach DSL. V-Cast uses EV-DO network resources.

Verizon is out of the test stages of EV-DO, the network is spreading and I would guess would be on all VZW towers in one to two years.
