650 NOT in test yet at VZW!

What happens before a phone ends up at a VZW store? IT GOES THROUGH TESTING! This phone has not showed up on the "test radar" for VZW yet, so all the mis-information here is just that. 😎

I like the Treo 600, and the new 650 features will be worth the wait!

We will enjoy (not) reading about all of the stories that (won't) be written by those of you that switch to an inferior network for the sake of a phone that releases earlier than VZW.

😳 ((The look on a previous VZW customer's face when they realize what they left behind for the sake of getting a phone early on a competitive carrier!))

The commission earned on a number port back to VZW is frequent and extra enjoyable!

The more I think about it...

Get the Sprint 650, it'll mean big paychecks for us when you all come back to VZW because you need your 650 to be more than a paper weight on your desk.

Maybe some hack will unlock the phone so we can use your Sprint 650 and not have to take equipment loss.

What was I thinking? 😎

Actually, I've utilized both verizon and sprint networks... I find them pretty comparable. I switched to Verizon most recently (from Sprint) because Verizon has monopoly coverage in North-eastern Minnesota where I travel frequently. Otherwise very similar network coverage.

As for phone testing at Verizon... you guys did a really great test on the Motorola v710. Horrible camera (suppose to be 1.3 megapix) it is c***. But I got it primarily for bluetooth... so I could link it to my car. Unfortunately you disabled that OBEX profile... so it is pretty much useless Bluetooth. Rumor is that Verizon claims that was for security... but appears to all of us consumers to be motiviated by profit.

I hear rumor that Sprint disabled Treo 650 ...

I just spent over 3 hours on the phone with Verizon about my Treo 600, and the fact that it won't reliably download email attachments with Wireless Sync. Their customer service SUCKS. I spoke to at least 5 people, each of whom gave me a different answer. One person promised to refund my money if the THIRD Treo they sent didn't solve the problem. The next person told me that the first person didn't have the authority to do that. He offered me a month of $45.00 data service free, but didn't seem to understand that if the phone won't do what it was advertised to do, it is useless to me. I don't know if others' experiences are similar, but I just switched to Sprint, and I'm awaiting my Treo 650 as we speak.
