Can somoeone please explain how the speakerphone works only in half-duplex? Like, what's the difference between that and full-duplex? Do I have to push a button to talk when it's on speakerphone?

Also, will I be able to talk to people while the phone is closed? Thanks.

The speaker still works like a normal speaker. Yes you will be able to use it while the phone is closed. Full-Duplex just means that you can talk and be heard while the other person is still talking and vice versa. Works like a regular phone call. You ever tried using a speaker phone before and you try to talk while the other person is talking but they don't seem to hear you? That's a half-duplex. Full duplex gets rid of that problem. Hope this helps.

Well the question the original poster asked was about the performance of a half-duplex speaker vs a full-duplex but to answer your question the speaker on the 5600 is half-duplex.
