Are they kidding? No Bluetooth? Even the i870 is going to have it. Windows mobile -- Good, features -- almost good.

But come on! Without bluetooth, I can't even compare this phone a monkeys bum

I heard the reason they did not put bluetooth in it as they did not want 4 different radios( I think they call it that) inside the phone. The phone already has iden, Widen and GSM. So they wanted to leave it at 3 rather then through in BT and cause problems with 4 different radios...

i870 also has 3 as well which are Widen, iden and BT.

Another reason why Bluetooth could not have been added to the final version of this product was because Bluetooth is regulated by FCC Standards and should for any reason Bluetooth had to be added to the i930, a Class II Permissive Change would be necessary, thus delaying the release for an iDEN Smartphone.

Any Bluetooth Addition planned had to be approved by the FCC and even worse, subject to a requirement of a Class II Permissive Change.

Bluetooth is not the "critical feature" that most people who use a Nextel are looking for.
IDEN phones have long been known for their speakerphones and clearly this remains a critical functionality for these types of devices, (as well as above average durability and battery life).
As a result, the fact that the i930 does not have bluetooth will not impede its sales in the least.
I am not saying that the i930 is a great phone... I think that remains to be seen. However, what I am saying is that those who give a device a "thumbs up" or a "thumbs down" purely based on whether it has bluetooth do not understand that there are other valuable features & capabilities that allow it to play in its target market.
