SD CARD PROBLEM!!!!
ok i dont know of any problem but i got ur attention..i want to know if it is at all possible to use the card to transfer information to your computer..like take the card and slide it into a memory card reader of some kind and read the info on your computer like pics and videos..that is wat i am interested in.does anyone have the hone and know how transferring data is??? please help i cant decide on which phone to get..help with anything you know

I went to the VZW store and read the manual. Files on the miniSD CANNOT be read by a PC. A PC also cannot write files to the miniSD. The miniSD card ONLY allows the phone to have more internal memory. Disappointing to say the least. 😢

Why would they even need the miniSD card then?..why don't they just have internal memory then?..theres no point

You can hold alot of MP3's to listen to. But you can't use them as ringers.

You can upload mp3s to the miniSD card and the phone will play those mp3s. I know because I have done it with the 8940 and the mp3 player is awesome--you can create a playlist too.

No and no. The sole purpose of the card is for more memory and play mp3s. I also beleive (90% sure) that if you get another 8940 (replacement) the card can carry all your pix and flix to the new phone. That's it. The mp3 player alone is a reason to get the phone, that camera also takes great pics and the flash is a real flash as opposed to wannabee flashs like on older camera phones

I bought this phone last night. I haven't purchased a mini sd card yet, but reading the manual it clearly states that you can move pictures and video from the camera’s sd card to your PC. What you can't do is move ring-tones and games on to the sd card. Verizon wants you to buy these on their “Get It Now” service. Also if someone sends you a picture you can't move that to the SD card. Basically anything downloaded can't be put on the SD card. For all of the pics and vids you take should not be a problem to move to the card and read on your computer.

All pics and flix are locked from being transfered to your pc. Try it, then post your experience. I am posting this not only from experience but from internal resources from verizon wireless.
