Little embarrassed to ask since it shows how little I know about these things. But saw the postings on the GPRS settings and connect beautifully. But I can't send or receive e-mail through the e-mail client on the A780. Says host not found when I try to access GMail and AOL. I had put in the settings that I used on other phones, but not connecting here. Does anyone out there have the settings for a phone stupid guy---or is there some other mail client I need to install to do this...Thanks
Eferk.

Hey there.

I have had the Motorola A780 since January. T-Mobile is my service.

As you may know, this is not a supported device with T-Mobile...so they do not have exact documentation on how to make it work.

By sending a "programming patch" to the phone, we were able to get the interet working. This patch also enabled the phone to RECEIVE email messages...however, I cannot SEND email messages.

I have called Motorola in Hong Kong, and in the United Kingdom to try to get the email to work. According to the Motorola reps that I spoke with, the problem is with T-Mobile. The usual finger pointing.

If you have T-Mobile, call their Support Dept. and ask to have your call escalated to their highest level of technical support.

Thanks. Actually, just switched to T-Mobile, so will see if that works. Thanks for the reply.
