ok so i am most likely preaching to an audiance of me, but here goes...

the A780 on OSX 10.4 has at least one bug that i have been able to note:

i am not able to pull files off of the A780 via USB as any attempt to do so crashes the phone (battery needs to be removed form the phone to reboot - not data is lost) and temporarily freezes my powerbook. however, i am able to send files via bluetooth to my powerbook without any troubles. likewise, both the built-in memory and my 250MB TransFlash disk appear on my powerbook desktop as external USB drives and i am able to drop files onto the A780 without any troubles either.

generally speaking this is a lovely phone. no significant issues with it. the USB bug noted above is not a big ...

Hello fellow Mac user,

I can not get the A780 to sync with my powerbook using Bluetooth. If I got to browse device in the bluetooth app, it claims that the A780 does not have the nessecary services. How did you set your A780 up to work on OS X?

well, i am able to transfer files FROM my A780 TO the powerbook... but not the other way... weerd. in terms of "sync"ing... i am not sure hwta you are talking about. i did get a message that you describe when i try to use my A7680 as a modem... that i have not been able to get to work. but in terms of just geeting my A780 to talk to my powerbook via bluetooh - that does work. i did nothing specail there. just turn bluetooth on (discoverable) and then ask one to look for the other. pretty straight forward..

lemme know if you have any other questions 🙂

ah i see what you mean. so to clarrify, the only way i have been able to share files over bluetooth is like this:

1. turn bluetoon on in a780
2. bond it your osx machine
3. go to the file you want to send over to your osx machine and "share" it using bluetooth

that will allow you to transfer pretty much any file form you A780 to your ISX platform. its weerd but it works (as i am not able to "browse my A780 using bluetooh via my powerbook" either.

good luck,

shea
