Hi- i just got this phone, and was trying to set the speaker volume, and change ring tone, but when i go into setup, I can't seem to find where I should go? can anyone please help. thanks

The phone does not have the most intuitive interface, that's for sure, especially for non-Moto users.
When you're in "Setup", do you see "Ringer Alert Style"? If you go into it, click the radio button of the "Alert Style" you want to change, then click the "Edit" on the bottom of the screen. Be warned though...it's minimal customization at best.
