Hi presently I have a treo 600 and to use the interent I have it dial into my own ISP phone number and therefore forgo the data charges. I do not know anything about windows PDA software, so I was wondering if this had the same option of a network setting option to be able to dial in my own ISP and therefore forgoing the verizon wireless data call that I know dials 777 or something like that.

Yes the 6600 can dial into ISPs (ips numner, user, password, etc...) but will go against your minutes. The VZW broadband access is an option you would want to consider because its so many cents per MB or 45ish a month for unlimited access. 😳

Is it per MB or kilobyte. WHen I called in for my treo 600 they said it was so many cents for KB which was outragous. Meaning it made no sense to use it unless you get the unlimited. But $45ish extra dollars a month is also a lot. I know that calling up my own ISP uses minutes but I only check things and I can write/read emails offline. Also on weekends and after 9pm our minutes our unlimited.

Lets see...for the Treo 600 I think your 600 is not on a plan thus your charged per KB (which is fine for the ones who check email every so often). BUt if you were on the 24.95 plan, that would give you 6MB per month.

Thats expensive to but the unlimited is 44.95 I beleive. VZW's web site lists all this info on there site i beleive (if your with VZW). If youve had it for less that 15 days (with VZW) your better off with the 650 because its broadband & bluetooth.
