Can anyone tell me if the V265 has an external RF/antenna port similar to the port on the Motorola V710?

yes, it's under the rubber plug on the back side of the phone.

Thanks. Since the V710 doesn't seem to be available any longer I'm considering this as a poor second choice.

this phone isn't too bad, but the E815 is much better if you can find one. It's more expensive, but still a bargain in my opinion.
