This phone does not support voice dialing... Makes the blue tooth 1/2 useless. It's just as bad as Motorola not including file transfer in the V710... Worse actually... The cordless headsets with voice dialing are more usefull then file transfer via bluetooth.

I think this is the beginning of a long downhill slide for Motorola cell phones... They just don't seem to be able to design a FULLY functional product as of late... Always something critical missing... 😕

Oh well, when their sales start to slide and people stop buying their poorly designed phones "maybe" Moto will get the message... 😛

YO!!!

First off, there's no info that supports the claim that this phone does not support voice dialing! In fact testers have mentioned that it DOES, and this site's webmaster, Rich has stated that it "most likely does" but that he has not included it in the info section because he has not heard it from the horses mouth.

Secondly, the Bluetooth for GSM phones has never and repeat NEVER been non-functional in anyway. This is NOT a CDMA phone, like the V710. In other news, the V710 has a firmware update on the horizon (soon) that will repair the BT defects.

Your statements are unfounded, check your facts a little more before posting crap.

Also, Verizon hobbled the bluetooth and other capabilities of the V710, not Motorola. The reason, so that the only way you could up or download files and stuff to your phone was through their 'Get It Now' service which you have to pay for. Thanks Verizon!

Actually I think Moto's taken resposibility for that little faux pas. Hence the firmware upgrade. But still you've not seen anything like that happening with GSM and it's BT phones.

Disturbed,

Don't get your panties in a wad. The phonescoop site says it doesn't have it... Maybe at some point it will find out different & we will all be happy, let's all hope so.

It would certainly be welcome relief after the V710 fiasco, 458 pages of complaints & questions on how to use a cell phone??? WTF??? Is that a success?!?!?

Also, just because unlike you the rest of us have "actual lives outside of the internet" and don't spend all our time cruising the web & "might" have missed something in the thousands of posts here doesn't mean you gotta have a hissy fit like a little child & tell us to check our facts...

Phonescoop product info page currently says it doesn't and that's good enough for me. If it should cha...

Kega,

I have a life actually, why the hell do you think I posted that at 1 in the morning before bed? If you looked around you'd see that the comments from Rich about the phone supporting voice dialing are right here in this forum. You don't have to sift thru thousands of posts, they're right in front of you.

Sorry we're not all still in college where people think that going to class and gettin drunk everynight is having a life. My lunch break is over and it's time to go draw some more blood samples. See you kids when I see ya.
