scratches and falls

Hey all. Now that most of you have had a chance to own a RAZR for almost a year or so, I have some questions as I'm looking to get a RAZR for my wife.

1) Does it get scratched easily? If so, do most of you use a case of some sort to prevent it from scratching?

2) How well does it respnd when the phone is accidentally dropped? Does it dent or break easily?

Please keep me posted. Thanks in advance.

I've had my RAZR for 15 months now. I carry it full time (as opposed to all my prior phones which were too bulky for that to be practical, for me). I keep it in my pocket, without a case/holster. It has some VERY minor scraties on the shell (most of the shell is plastic, not aluminum as some believe - metal would scratch much easier).

I've dropped it maybe three or four times, in some cases on asphalt. No problems to report.

HTH!

Thank you for your valuable feedback. I wasn't sure about the scratches, so I was leaning towards a black one, but I think I'll get the silver one instead. Again, thank you. 🙂

I carry mine in my pocket without a case too. sometimes if I drop it, it will be sort of slow, and maybe even re-start itself. but it goes back to normal when it re-starts. one thing to watch out for is the glass over the external LCD. Although it doesn't scratch as easily as plastic would, I've seen a friend drop hers and the glass completely cracked..
