MP3 ringtone / Mobile Action handset manager software

My friend just shows me her RAZR V3 with excellent original quality MP3 ringer, the quality is really excellent, unlike the original PC tool kit. She told me that she used handset manager software (maker:mobile action tech)to exchange the MP3 to her phone and set up as the ringers.
She also told me that the package comes with both software and hardware in one package, and the price is only around $30.
Does anybody know where I can get this software and hardware (maker:mobile action tech) for my Razr V3?
Thanks.

Dana

Ummm, www.mobileaction.com? 🙂

Looks like you can download the Handset Manager software right off their site. Not sure what hardware you were looking for, a standard Bluetooth connection or hardwired USB/mini USB would seem to be all you need.

Let us know how you like it? Much appreciated!

I call and ask them and they tell me their software only works with their hardware, because they are a software manufacturer, not a hardware company. Today I purchase a MA-700 bluetooth data suite from their distributor in the states, it will arrive my home in 3 days.
Here is what the data suite can do for my Razr (according to their agent)
1. phonebook data management
2. multi. text messages
3. internet access
4. ring tone editor (support 128 different insturment and I can change the instruments anytime I like)
5. picture editor: advance function just like photoshop pro. can change color, add images, add text,,,etc.
6. Calendar sync.
7. File transfer (such as MP3, pictures)between pc and cellular.
I believe there are more functions...

I used to work at a distributor in CA that sells them, i don't know the price, but it's around $30 if not less. Call 661 310-1000 and speak to sales, they can help.

I believe you use Mobile Phone Tool, it comes with when you purchase the phone. I myself had used that software as well, but I still loved Handset Manager from MobileAction better. It is easier to use than Mobile Phone Tool.

I have used this data suite on many phones, i know that it works well.... but I also did hear that the bluetooth version wasn't as good as the usb, as far as connectivity. Were you using the BT or the USB version? My old boss has the V3 and was using the bluetooth data suite all the time to upload MP3 ringtones and such, there are a lot of things that can go wrong, from the usb driver on your computer to the correct software version, depending on where you bought your data suite, they might have been sitting on the shelve for a while (like before the V3 was realeased) and might need a software update in order to recognize the V3.....mobileaction.com is the place to go for that. Hope that helps. 🙂

I got this directly from their website http://usa.mobileaction.com/index.jsp about a month ago. The CD that came with the package was for version 8. I downloaded their version 9 software from their website last week. It works much better. It has MP3 clipper which allows you to cut and mix MP3.

I have checked this web site, http://usa.mobileaction.com, and bought/downloaded it from there. The MP3 sounds perfectly through my Razr. And, the video, I can only say, COOL......

I've just bought this phone on the UK Vodafone network and downloaded the Mobile Action handset manager and USB driver from their website, however I can't get the USB driver to install. ☚ī¸ Did you have to buy the data cable or did the software work with the cable that came with the phone?

I guess you have to buy the data cable from Mobile Action, so that you can use. I think I bought the 2-in-1 package, with CD and cable. That's why it works. I've heard that there's a chip inside the cable, so that the software and the cable can work together.

Handset manager software only works with hardware provided by Mobile Action. I believe it is for protecting their software.
I think the hardware from Mobile action also works on other brand software though.(but not 100% sure) 🙂

I just got the razr a couple of days ago and downloaded the headset manager off of mobileaction.com. However, I am not all that computer saavy and cannot figure out how to work this thing. Whenever I try to open the program on my computer it tells me ''No valid Bluetooh Communication Port for the handset.'' I'm sure I'm missing something incredibly easy, but can someone help me out? Thanks in advance.

You might want to give their tech support a call or an email. I called their support once and they were very helpful. Their contact information is at http://usa.mobileaction.com/support/support_C ontact.jsp.
