Voice Dialing Razr V3- HOW TO??

I have a question on how the heck it works! I have contacted Cingular/Motorola and no body can help me "it's a new phone and they aren't trained on it yet". This is what I am trying to do.
I have the phone numbers entered in the address book and stored on the phone, not sim.
I have associated a voice name with the entry, for instance "HOME" has a voice command speaking the name "HOME".
I am trying to dial the number but no where in any of the documentation does it describe how to get it to dial out using my voice when the door is closed or open.
I am trying to dial with the door closed, looking at the cingular display & time, pushing the right soft key (voice) and then i get a very quiet beep, but nothing shows up in the color display (w...

The flip needs to be open. You need to be on the home screen. Push and release the voice key (right side of display). Watch the count-down thermometer bar on the display and say the name.

If it recognizes the spoken name, it will open the phone book to that entry and dial the number.

Note that if you press and hold the voice key it will record a voice memo and not attempt to recognize a command.

A few tips: Only record the names you dial most (less than 10) to increase your chances of good recognition in various noise settings. The less it has to sort through the better. Use the max time possible to get the biggest sample per name. Listen to the recording and if it's broken up or distorted, record a clean version.
