Ok...I hope this doesn't sound stupid; but how can I remove the SIM card without damaging it?
Thanks

Not a dumb question at all ...

I use my fingernail to move the card up until I can grab it ...

or a fork. seriously! I use one of the metal tines of a fork to press on the back of the card and slowly push it out. The fork tine digs into the material/plastic just a bit to give you some leverage. Actually works really well and as long as you don't push down to hard doesn't hurt a thing.

    I would be careful about using metal objects to remove your SIM for two reasons;

    A) Metal will transfer static electricity that can "fry" the chip in the card.

    B) If you press too hard, you can crack the chip (it's a tiny piece of silicon).

    Do either then you are back to the store to buy a new SIM.

Actually, the rubber eraser on a pencil works great. It has enough adhesion to slide it out far enough to grasp it.
