I'd expect it to come out sooner rather then later. Clearly the E316 has been tested and works on AT&T and if thats the case there is no reason why it won't be ready to go on Cingular since thye run networks that are so similar. I however am not a Cingular Rep so I cannot say anything with absolute certinty.

The E316 is going to be released by AT&T. My wife works for AT&T and we were at her office today where she had the dummy phone (display phone) on her desk. I also saw the literature for it. That means the phone is VERY CLOSE to being released. Upon inspection, it is pretty much the x426/427 with dual displays and camera.

I work at a store and put my sim into this phone. It's sweet. The photos sent via email appear on the entire screen and not inch by inch like other camera enabled phones. The e316 really is the x426 w/ external id and camera. I couldn't find any faults w/it and can't wait to get it myself.

well, i dont work in the industry but from what i have heard this phone will be out at the end of july, or at the latest early auguest. I called my local AT&T retailer and thats what he told me. He also outlined a 200 dollar price tag, but im sure a rebate or promo will lower that.

Why would you do that? You have the E105 and the E715 which are both comprable to this phone, though one has more and one has less. Additionally, you could buy the phone from Cingular (for more) and get it unlocked (I hear they do not lock thier phones now) and pop your SIM card in since T-Mo only opperates on the 1900 Band. You'd lose 850 and miss out on the 900 that comes with all T-Mo phones, so be warned you could be losing current and/or future coverage.
