good step for moto

FINALLY, Moto is releasing an iDEN flip phone that is less than one inch thick. This is a great step for Nextel. Once again though, Moto is opting for the 130x130 screen instead of the 128x160 standard screen. I have raised this issue in the past. Moto has showcased 3 upcoming flipphones, and they all have the "small" screen. Can you say CHEAP!!! (MONEY IS NOT THE ISSUE HERE BECAUSE MANY MANUFACTURERS USE THE 128X160 SCREEN ON THEIR ENTRY FLIP PHONES, SO DONT EVEN MENTION THAT)

A little irate are we? Quit yelling. Maybe the small screens are installed due to design?

If I came off as irate, I apologize. But it doesnt give Moto the right to sell its customers short. Also, I dont think it's a design issue because there is plenty of empty space above the screen as you can see. The i830, V220, and V180 all have this shortcoming. Check out other flip phones from other manufacturers. We live in a day where MMS is really being used (not like in 2002) so a bigger screen is useful and necessary.

just lettin ya know that motorola is messing up their relationship with nextel..
1. nextel was supposed to have the 6:1 done a year or a few months ago but it was delayed.. and nextel paid for it

2. i think widen would also be delayed and nextel also paid for it
3. the phone 830 was supposed to be out may 1st and then may 17th and now june 1st
4. motorola tried to damper the consensus plan from nextel

i think motorola is trying to hurt nextel but the thing is they have to fulfil their obligcations or else when nextel uses flarion they will use less capex on their network and motoroola and spend more on the flarion ..
