Just got the new firmware
I'm happy to report that the long-awaited firmware update is available and I got it yesterday at the VZW store in Jersey City, NJ. The process, as has been reported in other threads, took about 45 minutes and seems to have eradicated the "volume bug" problem.
I was a fan of the phone in spite of the volume bug and now that it's gone, I'm an even bigger fan.

let me ask you a question. since you got the firmware update does it say "verizon wireless" before it starts to ring when you get a call?
