Speakerphone with flip closed?

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the VX-6100 speakerphone with the flip closed?

... if you ever notice, if you are on a call and close the flip, the call ends... no way around it

The simple answer is no, however if you hack the seem file you can override that. I just got the phone today and have not had the time to look at all the harcoding yet, but LG "soft codes" almost everything including that feature. I had a 4500 that I was able to close the flip when in speaker mode after modifying the seem file. Ill post after Ive gotten the chance to look into it, but you will need a data cable, a program called bitpim, & a hex editor

unfortunately you need to plug in a headset and with the speaker active, close flip and then un-plug headset... definately something LG needs to consider making a full option but for now you must go through the steps

yes you CAN!!! ive said it in the past, and ill say it again.... plug in headset while one the phone, put it on "speaker on", then close the phone.... unplug the headset and VOILA!!!!! works like a charm and i do it all the time! 😎

Yeah, I tried that, but what a pain. And I noticed that if I open it and close it, then it hangs up (though there may be a way to control this). Your answer was correct and helpful, but who wants to go through all that hassle?
