"Verizon Wireless" banner

Does anyone know how to get rid of the verizon wireless banner?

Its a part of the enhanced roaming indicator and indicates that you are on the VZW network. Unless you want to hack the phone software, you'll have to learn to live with it.

If you have an America's Choice plan, and you do a *228 programming update, I think it is likely you will start seeing the banner.

i'm exchanging a samsong a650 for an lg 6100 in part because the samsong overheats very guickly. has anyone had experience with the 6100 overheating? i also heard that the 6100 was a good phone and had a low sars rating.
