Firmware updates?

I believe this has been covered briefly before, but I just wanted clarification. I have one of the volume-bugged 6100s -- in order to reverse this I have to go into a Verizon store and have them install the firmware update (when it's available), or is this something I can get through updates on the phone? Thanks 🙂

Yes, you would have to go to a Verizon store to get a firmware update.

What about *228 - doesn't that do the same thing, provided you are in your home area?
