...My 6100 goes back to Verizon...

My 6100 made a return trip to Verizon today... and I am back to my Audiovox CDM9900... for now...

Too many little "hinky" problems with the 6100 for me...

Basically, the 6100 is a very nice phone, but several current firmware issues make me want to wait for a firmware revision...

Yeah, unfortunately I believe I will be doing the same... and reverting back to my trusty vx6000 for now. I really wanted to like the 6100, but a few too many quirks in the firmware at this time for me also. Once LG fixes the issues, the 6100 will the perfect successor to my 6000.

I have the same volume bug problem too. I keep seeing everyone talked about firmware revision in this forum to fix the problem. Since you seemed to be the most level headed person in this forum, can you tell me if and when the firmware revision is available, can I get the firmware revision through OTA (*22😎 or do I have to return the phone to get the firmware revision? If I have to return the phone in order to get the new firmware, how do I tell if the replacement phone I get has the new firmware? Any help regarding this matter will be greatly appreciated.

1) There is NO way to know when a firmware revision will be made available... (unless you work for LG)... Historically LG has been VERY slow to respond to firmware issues...

2) You have to take you phone into Verizon to have them burn the new firmware in through the data port...

3) To find out what Software/Firmware version is in your phone go to

[Menu] [Settings] [9] [2]...

You will be shown your current version number...
