Front Screen not as blue/white???
my front screen does not light up like the 2nd pic in the info section. the screen looks bluish white in the pic. mine looks tannish and not blue at all. it's not a big deal, but i don't know if that means there is something wrong with the light. i already tried all different contrasts and whatnot. does everyones else's front screen look like the one in the 2nd pic?

When my front display lights up, it looks exactly like the second picture on the info page.

thanks maxdaddy. i called my girlfriend and she said hers does also. do you think this is grounds to take it back? it lights up fine, just not that brigh bluish white that it's suppoded to. i would only be worried that it means something may go wrong in the future.

im not sure that it is a bluish color, mine lights up similar to the picture, but i would characterize it as more gray/tan than blue, which i think is standard, i could be wrong and mine could be not working, if thats the case does anyone else have this issue

truth, gray/tan is what i have. but don't you agree that in the picture one it is a distict bright buish/whitish color rather than the tan/gray that we have. i will get a hold of my girlfriends phone today or tomorrow and go in a dark room and test them. i do believe though that hers is like the pic and mine is not.

sorry it took so long. i compared both yersterday in the dark, and it was clear that my girlfriends looks just like the one in the pic and is a definite blue/white color. mine is the tan grey color. also i noticed that her camera sliding cover is much sturdier than mine. hers kinda clips into place whereas mice just slides and open every time it is rubbed. i love this phone so i wil be returning mine just so i can get another one. hopefully a better one.

sorry digger, i tried to take some pics but they just aren't coming out right with the light being on on the phone. it's all blurry. my digi is only 2mp, maybe thats why. i'll keep trying.

I just compared mine to the one at the Verizon store. Theirs looked a tiny bit more bluish, and the lens cover didn't click. Mine is a tiny bit more tan, with a slight click to the lens cover. I'm wondering if we are just seeing slight differences between component batches.

probably. i didn't return mine yet, the 15 days isn't up yet. i'm not sure if i should or not. the light not being blue is not a problem other than the color. it's not bad at all, and it might even be clearer than the bluish ones. the camera cover on mine doesn't really click but it seems to stay in place for the most part.

I can confirm a difference as well. The one I received as an in-store exchange has much more of a 'blue on white' look that the 'gray on tan' of the original. I also noticed the lens cover 'click'. Subtle but there.

I just got mine through the mail. I can say that the sliding lens cover does not click shut quite as tightly as one I saw on display at the new VZW kiosk in my local CC. The display is more subtle, but would say it is more black/tan. I wonder if I can exchange at a local store...
