what was the result
of the people who purchased the 6100 when it was on the website??? I know hoppy received one, but did anyone else?

Well, several people here were saying with great personal authority that today, the 18th, is the release date. But no stores in the Northeast have them, nor can you order from the website.
It's bewildering where people get their information, and apparently their standards for facts aren't what we'd like.
No store or customer service person gave a date, and one said the phone is still is testing.

Agree with you totally.
However, some ppl apparently were able to order and actually RECEIVE a few 6100s during the brief period that the 6100 was accidentally on the VZW website. That would seem to indicate that the phone has passed testing and is ready to be shipped... perhaps VZW is simply waiting for stocks of the 6000 to be depleted first?
Of course, it could all be an elaborate hoax. 🙂

yeah, thats what I was referring to- the people that ordered it during that brief time- I wanted to know if they actually received their phone!!

I just received mine this morning, so far from what I can tell, the outer display is similar to the 4400. I really does not have time to play with it yet since I'm supposed to be working right now, but I will post more info later. However, I did find out you may not be able to load some of your get it now apps. I subscribed to the Backup Assistant since my phone book is my life, and I'm tired of re-entering the entries every time I get a new phone, but I discovered since it's a new phone, VZW has not got this application loaded into their system yet. They told me once it's released, then it will be loaded into the system. I asked for the released date but all it showed on their system is sometime in Nov. They told me to contact the store to ...

Okay, boys and girls. This is not a hoax. In fact, I was quite concern when I start reading this forum last Monday about the availability of this phone. I ordered it last Tuesday and has been calling On-line CS for status since it came off the website shortly after I order it. In fact, the general CS rep thought I was nuts when she cannot see it on the website but I had a order number. Anyways, I like the feel of this phone and the reception seem to be fine (since I tend to loose signal with my previous non-LG phones), time will tell as I drive around with this phone. Once I get my phone book transfer after work and play with it a little more, I will let you know what I think of this phone.

sounds good then that the supply of 6000's are running out, once they are consistently depleting the 6100 should hit the shelves, lets hope thats soon

I ordered my 6100 the morning of Tues, Oct 12th from the internet. Unfortunately, I also ordered the leather case and an extra charger. My order status has been the following since last Fri, Oct 15th:

I have not had time to call and check what is holding up my order.
In the mean time, my old LG 510 is turning off when the battery is loose (retaping it to the phone helps).

Correction:
Just called Verizon. They had a tracking number for me. My phone should arrive tomorrow evening (ordered online Tues, Oct 12th). One or both accessories are back ordered and will be shipped separately.

Colorado. Ordered on Tuesday, Oct 12th. No VG-6000 have been listed for weeks with my zip code, so maybe that is why the VG-6100 popped up.
