Sony Ericsson Z500
Passed on the Z500, got the v505 instead.
After looking at the phone I decided not to get it. Its a nice phone but there were a few things I did not like.
1. No bluetooth. I think that was a huge mistake not including it. I use it all the time.
2. It seemed a little big. The hinge at the top is huge.
3. The screen quality seemed pretty poor. I'm not talking about its size, just its color quality and brightness. I looked at a Motorola phone aftewards and it looked so much better.
The Motorola v505 doesn't have edge, and the z500 does. However, that feature, unlike bluetooth, is not something I would use.
Anyway, this is just my two cents, I hope I don't make anyone mad around here. I think that 9 months ago this phone would have been awesome, but as of now its a litt...

Why in gods name would you get an att wireless phone... you will just have to migrate in a couple of months anyway, and you will be forced to pay and $18 migration fee, you should have just deleted the middle man and gone with the 551 through cingular

Easy, I don't have to migrate for at least a year or two 🤣 . Also AT&T is cheaper than Cingular right now, and on top of that I can unlock it and take it to cingular and cell the free phone they give me to ebay and make up any migration fee!

Actually no. The AT&T Wireless handsets do not support ENS (enhanced network selection). Which is a feature of Cingular's new 64K SIM cards. When you do have to migrate over, you will be issued a new SIM card, and that SIM card will not work in your V505. ENS allows your phone to use both the Cingular and AT&T networks evenly, allowing for better coverage and more seamless movement between the networks as your phone can use either. With an AT&T handset and AT&T SIM, your phone will favor the AT&T network and will only use the Cingular network when it absolutly cannot find an AT&T signal, even if the closest cingular signal is stronger.
