I would LOVE to buy the z500, but I got so sick of waiting, that I think I am going to go with either the Motorola v551, or the v620 myself - not sure which yet.

SE pushed this phone back several times, and by the time it actually does come out (Next week? who knows?) I will have found a similar or better phone for about the same price, so why bother anymore? that's my logic, anyhow - even if it came out tomorrow, I don't know if I would get it anymore if only as a matter of personal (kinda screwy) principle.

BUT, check out the compare sheet at the link below (sorry, I don't know how to link in this forum, so you'll have to paste it into your browser.). It's all really up to personal preference. 🙂

That's true, but with the way motorola's been cranking out phones, you'd never STOP waiting. Every time I think I know what I want from them, they come out and hit me with something even newer and better than the great new phone I wanted 🙂

I'm not a fan of the Moto phones. They gave all the bells and whistles, but, they don't have the quality that their older models had! From what I've been reading thay are not "the best" thay could be. I have a t637 and I hav ehad several Nokias too ! I think the new SE is going to be the ticket!

There have been a lot of service issues with the V600 and 400 !

but SE makes me WAIT! 😢

I'm a little worried about the quality of some motorolas, too, and I agree that the next big thing will be SE, no doubt about it, but from what I've read, the v620 has tweaked all the problems they had with the v600, and it's pretty sturdy, which I need, since I drop my phone all too often 🙂

I live in Central Florida and the network down here is almost all Ericsson [tower equiptment, swwitching, etc.] and it has always worked well with Nokia and SE.....I have felt [using my own personal experience] that Moto phones did'nt perform as well here as the others..That may not be true with this generation of phones. I used the old Star-tac and the V60. I guess it all boils down to what we need in a phone and what little quirks and tweaks will put up with. The V551 and V620 may be great phones...time will tell!

on the topic of moto and SE .. i had the t616 and switched to the v400 and was very dissapointed in the change.. the price i had to pay kuz SE still didnt have a flip 4 monthz ago.. if your set and comfortable with the SE then u will for sure not like the motos.. SE is much more user friendly with i think alot less bugs overall then moto has..
