Will the 8100 kill the 8000?

The answer to your question would solely rely on the pricing of the 8100 when it comes out. If it is the same price as the 8000 (doubtful) then it would indeed kill the 8000. But if they make the 8100 more expensive, like it should be, then both phones would be able to co-exist and sell very well.
