LG VX-8000
Does this phone have Analog capabilites?
i'm thinking of switching from cingular to Verizon. i was looking at the vx-8000 and the vx-6100.....
I travel all over the U.S. and need a phone that's going to work even when i'm in small rustic areas like mississippi....
will the 8000 work everywhere or would the 6100 be better?????

8000 is not tri mode but if you can still find an Audiovox 9900 that is a tri mode phone and is very good. Other than that it's the 6100 or the V710 which I personally wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.

Any phone w/ EV-DO capability will NOT have tri-mode function. and the 710 is great!!! i have it and it gets the best reception i have had yet and i get a new phone every 3 months

The V710 is great? This madman must be employed by Moto or he's on drugs. The V710 is the most cause of stress among cell phone users to this day. You don't see law suits pending for the LG 8000 Moto messed up big time and some person on the production line assembly probabely forgot to wear their glasses the day they rolled out all the V710's with the crooked cameras.....
