How good is the headset?
Just ordered a 8000 and i was just wondering how good the headset is that came with the phone? Can you hear people; can they hear you? Or dose it suck?

I just got this phone last week. I have tried the headset that came with it, along with a new Jabra, an LG earbud I had, and a Motorola earbud I had. I am experiencing a problem with the volume being extrememly low for both myself and whomever is listening on the other end of the call. The volume is up all the way. When I switch from the headset to the speakerphone or just to the phone the volume goes up so loud I need to turn it down. I was going to take the phone back and try another. Was wondering if anyone else has this problem. Is this what you are experiencing? If so, I don't think it is the headset you have.

i started using it yesterday it works great. there is a volume adjustment on the headset people sound clear. the person you are talking to also heres you clear.

I tried adjusting the volume on the headset that came with it. Didn't make a difference for me. I think I will try another phone.

the headset that came with the phone works really good for me. i dont have any problems hearing the other person on the phone. i also like how if you use the headset and have the phone closed you can hold the silver button down and it brings up the list of calls you made on the outside screen, so its easy to re-dial.

yea i agree with hewie. its not all that useful..i mean yea you can close the phone...but why cant you do it for the speaker phone...headset not all that great.

Are you able to close the flip while on a call with the headset plugged in? I have the 8940 and can do that without disconnecting; a nice feature. Just wondering if the 8000 does that as well.
(Too bad the speakerphone doesn't work with the flip closed too.)

yes, you can close the phone when you're on the phone with someone on the headset on the 8000.
