LG VX-8000
went to store today got 8940
I went to the store and got the 8940 because the 8000 is way to big and a bit ugly to me. But I think BY FAR the 8000 is the best in every every every other respect. I had a 7000 and got the 8940 because I am a gadget freak. Well for the most part the 7000 is better. Way louder rings then both the other 890 and 8940. Also the 8000 has far better stock ring tones then the other phones. The GUI is also best on the LG. The camera responsiveness was better on the 7000 I had so I am sure the 8000 can only be better. If you don't mind the size and the dorky look, definitely go for the 8000 over the other phones, I say DEFINITELY. I just think the 8000 is really big and dorky looking. The other two or about the same, sleek and pretty smal...

how has the fone been after a few days. Im thinking of bringing the 8000 back for the 8940 because of the size. The 8000 is just way to big of a beast. I have some questions. How do your own pictures look as wallpapers, can you use .mid as ringtones? does sliding the thing get annoying for the camera? does it feel sturdy? Is it easy to use? Those are just a few things i like about the 8000 but its soo much smaller. Also how was the battery life today?

Well I returned the 8940 for the 8000. I was so used to the 7000 and the 8940 didn't even compare to that. The size of it is great and it does feel sturdy but the 7000 and 8000 are much better phones. For instance the picture id on the 8940 does not work for the outer display. The inner display picture id only works if you have the flip set to not answer, useless. The pictures and wallpapers look better on the 8000. on the 8940 you can't use your pictures as wallpapers for the outer display like you can for the 8000. The record your own ringtone works excellent on the 8000, nothing like that on the 8940. The 8000 is way superior, the way you can look at your photo album on the outer display, read txt msgs, and view your missed calls ...
