Hi, I am a sales representative from the greater Nashville area and at this point I am prepared to inform you that the actual release date of the LG VX 8000 will not be until March 7, 2005. This came from a very reliable source as I work very closely with the supervisor of all Verizon stores in the southeastern United States. So stay patient and I hope to see you all in March at your local stores buying this phone up! Good day! 🙂

Don't believe anyone who says it will be a long wait.
It may be true, but you guys must also remember that VZW monitors these boards as well as HOFO. By spreading word of a huge wait in time, it will help them sell the current high-end phones and clear their inventory.
I'm not saying that this info is false, just that there are more reasons to NOT believe any long-term date than there is to believe a long-term date.
How many "reliable" sources have we gotten regarding this phones release? 9? 10? How many of the dates from these "know-it-alls" coincided with one another? 0. How many have already been deemed false? Many..

I am not the ONLY ONE who thinks this phone's release will be in the next month or so, and I personally don't care if I am wrong or not. And there is no truth to any dates given. What truth do you speak of?
I am using an educated guess to determine the phone's release, and be it wrong or right, I have a reason to think it will be out before xmas. It may also be argued that because of Evdo, verizon will hold the phone for a longer period of time.. but Evdo does not affect the functionality of the phone, be you in an Evdo market or not.
My "faux" wishful thinking is no different than your hoping for an "early" release. We both don't know when it will be out, and we both hope it will be out soon. Its just a difference in opinion.

I agree with daveyp225...if you all know another release date than him or do not agree just state when you think it will come out and dont give so much grief to everyone in these forums!

Listen, I don't wish to argue with you anymore. More than that, I'm not here to argue with anyone, esp. about release dates. A release date is something that no one will ever exactly know about. Christmas? Fine. March, 2005? Also fine.
