Difference between .342 and 1.3 versions

Just bought MPx220 and it has version .342. Most of the features work fine, the volume on earpiece and speakerphone is good. The only issue is the the camera image quality.

I'm wondering if there is any benefit to upgrading to a 1.3 firmware version phone.

Anybody know what the difference is between .342 and 1.3?

Thanks.

A lot of people complain about the camera. It does have its limitations, mainly because its a PHONE first then a camera.

My MPx220 has firmware 1.30. I have taken some VERY impressive pics if I have adequate lighting, select the appropriate settings, max-pixels, appropriate light settings, and make sure to be somewhat close to the image you want to snap. I then sync with my pc and copy and paste into my pictures folder on my pc, and print them out via HP photo program.

I don't know any difference other than the .342 is the older version, but some have stated on here they have those older software versions, and no complaints/problems found

I think that most ppl complaining about the phone is compared to other picture phone cameras. I have a Toshiba model sprint phone and it takes amazing pictures compared to my current MPX220. But then again, besides the first two weeks of owning a picture phone, how often do we really use this function? I didnt get the MPX220 for the camera, which most ppl really shouldnt. Ive seen other motorla camera phones and most dont have very good picture quality.

It seems that I have the .325 version (does that sound right?)

I have T-Mobile, but use a Cingular branded phone. Anyone know how I can get that upgrade?

Actually, the .343 version is exclusive to the AT&T branded device, and the 1.3 is exclusive for Cingular, from what I know. Honestly, I have heard horrible stories surrounding the Cingular firmware versions, but the AT&T NBO branded device has worked just fine for me. The first time around was the only time around, unlike the Cingular device, no pun intended hehe.
