I had been anxiously waiting for this phone for several months and when I finally convinced Verizon to make an exception and give me the phone at a discounted price, I was excited. I would have looked for any reason to justify keeping the phone.

That said, I really can't justify keeping the phone. I never planned on using Bluetooth, so that was just a nice perk... but there were several features that I was excited about that simply aren't good enough to warrant $250.

1) Speakerphone. Having a speakerphone would be phenomenal, but the only time I would realistically use it is when I'm in the car. The problem is that the volume is too low. You have to hold the phone too close to your mouth, which means that you might as well simply ...

i think the bluetooth technology is the best thing going for this phone and Obey Moto voice recogniton software. the speaker phone is ok. but wouldn't use it much. some of the issues you mentioned will be fixed in the firmware apparently.

overall, i like the phone, but all the hype about the phone before launch was just that hype

Earpiece volume can be fixed in a firmware update. Make sure you have the camera set to high-res, it is preset to med-res. The video camera is good, for a phone. Since the phone came out not that long ago, there should be more GIN apps in the near future.

This is by far the best phone Verizon has to offer. This phone has much more features and looks better than any other phone out there, and the vx8000. Keep the phone! 😁

1. Well, I must have a super duper 710, because I'm so thoroughly impressed with the thing that I use it now for about 50% of my calls depending on my environment.

2. Absolutely on the money. Why tell me it's a 1.2 MP camera when it sucks so bad? I pray to every almighty in Cell Heaven to allow these meager humans to upgrade the firmware and let me take indoor pics and videos of.. well.. stuff an ACTIVE 22 year old wants to take.. pictures and videos of.

3. Standard gripe IMHO, complain about the audio reception if you want to achieve the level of validation you are seeking.

4. As someone has commented already, dude, it just came out. I'm not a programmer, but I DO know that it is still August, and they released this phone... well.....
