Sounds very weird, its hard to see, you sure it is going out? Try changing the backlight settings and reboot.

I changed to 30 seconds turned phone off back on Keys were on until I hit any digit

I thought there was a light sensor or somethin on the phone. I heard that if you go into a dark room and press a key the backlight doesn't go off cuz it senses that there is low light. You should try it, it might work. 😁
