How in the H*LL do you say *611 with voice dial?
I tried this the other day to call customer service to upgrade my account. I was driving with my BT headset and it didn't recognize the terms star 611 or asterisk 611. Any ideas? I haven't found a way to program/train voice dial to do this.

I emailed moto, and they said that you cannot say * or #.

Actually, I never posted that. This is a new topic. I decided to take action myself for this situation instead of asking the forum and getting a bunch of different answers.

you could program it into your phonebook. just say 611 for name and viola

I put *611 in under name Verzion but it still has quite a time recognizing the name. I have to say I'm not that impressed with voice dialing. It didn't recognize about half of them--and I used regular pronunciation. It's so much easier just to remember the phone book entry # and use speed dial.

Guess this doesn't help you solve your problem, but just a comment...when using it with the HandsFreeLink in my car, it DOES recognize and dial *. Is that different because it's the car's handsfree program recognizing it?

You need to put *611 into your phonebook and then name it as "Customer Care" or "Verizon" or something like that and then when you call use that name. It will work. Thats what I do for *611 and all the short numbers. Do the same type of thing for 911, call it "Emergency". Hope that helps.
