I messed with this for a while and was frustrated too. I found a way that works pretty well now. Instead of saying 'name, dial'--try saying just 'name'. It then should take you to the 'say the name' question. Then just state the name clearly. It's worked well that way for me. I hope this helps you out.

Actually, the VoiceSignal software is the best VR software out there, IMO. On the Samsung i600, you can configure the software to either be faster or more accurate (of course there's a tradeoff with your decision) and you can configure it NOT to repeat the name or number you ask it to dial.
From your post, it sounds like you only have first names in your phonebook. It should help quite a bit if you enter both First and Last names. It seems this software works best with multiple syllable words.
Good luck!

Is their any way to just say a name instead of going through the questions of name dial or digit dial? Thanks

Not to my knowledge. 😕

I had trouble using this the first day as well - but mostly because I was confused. I have my address book organized as "first name, last name" - with an actual comma in the entry.
I didn't know if I should say the first name first, or vice versa, or even if I should say the word "comma" in between the first and last names.
Once I got that figured out - it's been working great. I think it's actually working better with the last names listed before the first name.... many first names sound alike - but last names are usually more unique sounding. Because I have to say the last name first- the phone seems to understand me 99% of the time.
