Hello everyone:

After work yesterday, I stopped by my local RS and I picked up the V710 and a hs820. I like the phone because its bluetooth enabled and because the speaker is pretty good. The video recording is decent for what you pay for it. The one thing I could not figure out just yet, is why cant the flip be closed while on a call using the speaker??? Anyone know if you can have it closed while on a call? I know you can with the headset.

The next thing that is bothering me is the camera!!!!! The camera is the biggest piece of **** I have ever came across. What happened to the 1.2 megapixel????? My previous phone's camera (lg 6000), is a lot better. Once again, the camera is the biggest piece of ****! I will return the phone and wai...

first..make sure you turn up the resolution on the camera. It defaulted to medium resolution (not that it will drastically improve quality, but it will make it 1.2 MP).
The speaker needs the flip opened b/c the microphone is on the inside of the flip. So, w/ it closed, the microphone couldnt pick up voice. Although the speaker does work while playing mp3s with the flip closed.

Damn son you need to calm down a bit. First of all, no the speaker won't work on call with the phone closed (look wat startac250 said) and dos the camera only sucks when there isn't that much light around. If you take pics/vid outside or in a well lit environment (unlike the rooms of many net surfers) you will notice a big step up from the vx6000.

People, if you want great looking pics get a damn camera! If you want your phone to have the ability to snap a moment in time with fair recognition get a camera phone.

I know that it's a hassle going through all these pages on this forum to look for an answer to the question u just asked, however u can search for it on this forum and u'll get results. Something u can use in the near future. 🙂

Likewise, if you read the forum so closely, you'd realize that someone had answered my question before you did!

First, Your a friggen idiot. "OMG, the camera is bad, im going to return it" Buy a f*cking 200000000000000 megapixel, top of the line connon digital camera if you want a camera. I'm tired of people bitching and complaining about the camera that is pretty good anyway (i think) especially for a phone.

And Second, think about what the next phone wont have that the V710 does. There wont be another bluetooth, video camera, speakerphone MP3 phone. And if you go get the VX7000 then you are just stupid. The camera is worse (i dont know why you said the VX6000 camera was better than the V710's camera because the VX6000's camera sucks) than the V710's camera. VX7000 has no bluetooth at all, no MP3, no speakerphone, no extendable memory, no...
