My v710 experience
I finally got my v710 today from the radio shack in brooklyn on Kings Highway. Many of you have been wondering about the new every two. Well here is how it worked.
You cannot get an instant 100 credit towards the purchase of a new phone from anyone but a corporate VZW store. With that being said, you can still get the 100 dollar credit, in terms of them crediting your account towards monthly minute usage. Thus the 100 dollar credit shows up on the phone bill like I will be receiving. And yes, I got the 70 MIR, and i bought the phone at the promotional price. Thus all the promotions are applicable as long as you are eligible for them.

Not true here in NJ. VZW will charge me $319.99 plus tax for two years minus $100 instantly off the price of the phone right then and there.
My out of pocket charge for the phone is $219.99 plus tax with a $70 rebate by mail.

You missed the parft about him buying it at radio shack and getting his NE2 $100 as credited min usage..more than most got..he got a great deal..

I specifically asked Verizon about this - and they said "no" - you must take your $100 from a VZW store when you buy a phone. They flatly refused to issue the NE2 credit as an airtime credit on a bill

Well I just got off the phone with Verizon Customer Support, and they specifically told me you get the $100 from New Every Two in the form of a $100 credit on your bill. And he specifically told me that it didn't matter if I purchased the phone from Radio Shack, or from a VZW store. So make sure to check all the facts before you make a decion about this. If you don't believe this is true, it is worth the 5 minute call to 611 to find out.

I just called 611 and the rep said it's up to the authorized reseller to give me the $100 credit or not and a billing credit isn't issued. I went into the RS and asked if they do it, and they said no. They had 1 v710 that I played with a little. It is ex...
