Motorola V710
Q for VZW employees (about phone releases)
ok, now that we have the articles, and know it is being shipped...some people say it should be available in "some" stores next week. considering the first 710 people give-away...shouldnt this phone be released to everyone on the same day? and when you recieve a shipment of new phones, about how long is it until they are put on the shelf? or do you just sell the phones as soon as they get in (disregarding any release dates).
Im assuming this will be out within the next 2 weeks if shipments are going out now. but that is just my uneducated assumption ;)

two weeks = Tuesday 8/3 so you are probably assuming pretty correctly.
then again, i forgot who said it, but the guy that went to the moto show said that motorola needed 3 weeks from the word "go" to get the phones from warehouse to store floor. That makes August 10 the more realistic date. But wait a minute.. maybe the press release was chock full of typos and they are really releasing the 810 on ... 8/10 and the V710 is to be offered by US cellular... oh the humanity!

Why should it? What makes you think Motorola will start accepting registrations for the giveaway on the same day that the phone is made available somewhere?

I just figured motorola was giving away bluetooth accessories to the first 710 people that register their phone...I didnt think they were going to have a "ready, set, everyone register at once!" deal 😛

Copied from the rules on the MOTO web site:
"Be one of the first 710 people to purchase a Motorola v710 handset and register your purchase online at http://www.motorola.com/shop/v710registration , after receiving official notification from Motorola that registration has begun, and receive a FREE Bluetooth® device of your choice..."
Try going to the registration page -- It redirects you, as it has done since the beginning.
